Celeb Red Carpet Styles

Awards Season (or for the fashion obsessed, Red Carpet Season) has officially begun! I absolutely love picking out my best dressed choices during the Red Carpet pre-shows and live tweeting my thoughts (@HILallan incase you didn't already know).

In true form, I was drooling over the Red Carpet gowns seen at this year's Golden Globes and wishing I owned many of them. Unfortunately, I don't have any red-carpet-gown-worthy-events coming up to attend. I do, however, always love finding an excuse to wear a cute dress! I was browsing through  and found some sweet Red Carpet inspired dresses that could actually be worn in real-life scenarios.

Two of my choices for best dressed at the Golden Globes included Charlize Theron and Emma Stone. I love the two tones in Emma's gown (not to mention that plunging neckline) and the shape of Charlize's dress is fabulous!

Here are the two dresses that I found on that are inspired by my best dressed picks. How awesome is the ombre effect on the Emma Stone inspired dress!? These could both easily be worn on a night out on the town or a date night. The best part about them? They're a fraction of the cost of the Red Carpet versions! Be sure to check out Celeb Boutique for lots of other great celeb-inspired styles, at non-celeb prices!

Fashion Design Council of Canada Announcement

Tonight I attended a cocktail event hosted by the Fashion Design Council of Canada, where they announced that World MasterCard is the new title sponsor for Toronto Fashion Week. Check out all the details of the partnership at It's All Style to Me.

I invited my trusty +1 along for the festivities, and we had such a great time! I had the pleasure of meeting two of the sweetest gals, who just happen to be twins, and who just happen to have a fashion blog of their own! Check out the Sparks Twins, they love thrifting just as much as me!

Who's excited for Toronto Fashion Week? I am!

Je Suis Blonde et Intelligente

Bonjour mes amis! In honour of my New Year resolution, to learn more french and begin my journey of becoming officially bilingual, I bring you my "Je Suis Blonde et Intelligente" shirt!

I made this shirt a few months ago when I went through an obsessive re-run spree of  "The Girls Next Door", and fell in love with Holly Madison's t-shirt that said the exact same phrase. She got hers in Paris, it's pink. Mine is cuter.

This awesomely metallic sweater is from H&M's Conscious Collection. So pretty, so eco-friendly, so GREAT!

I am also now officially a Toronto resident, thanks to my two great friends who agreed to host me and my wardrobe for the next little while! Can I get a HELL YEAH for city living!?

Au Revoir et Bisous!

Pink & Red

Two colors that I used to avoid pairing together at all costs (mind you, this was at a time when I thought wearing kitten heels with a frayed jean mini skirt was a great combo) come together quite nicely in this recent outfit I wore.
I bought these amazing pants from H&M a few weeks ago, and have been obsessed with them ever since!! They are so comfy and fit perfectly. How awesome is the color? I know they're bright pink, but who says you can't wear pink pants all year long?

The weather here in Toronto is continuing to be unreal. What's that saying? In like a lamb, out like a....we won't go there!!

I love you, a bushel and a vest

First off- HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone enjoyed their Holidays as much as I did. Being at home with my family was so entertaining and comforting (kind of a strange combination once I wrote that out) Now I'm back in Toronto and ready to resume regular posts! I wore this outfit over the weekend for a day of shopping with my friend. She came to visit me this weekend and we had such a fantastic time! (props go to her for the photos)

I got this fur vest from Value Village (heck yea!) last winter, and never had the chance to wear it because it was just too darn COLD! So far, Toronto's winter has been crazy mild (knock on wood) so I was so excited to be able to wear it finally!

I paired it with my Topshop shorts that I purchased this summer, I love making summer clothes work all year round! There's nothing a good pair of black tights can't fix.

I have to give a shout out to my mama who knit me this gorgeous infinity scarf for Christmas! I'm in love with it!
